3 riders constitute a class. For undersubscribed classes, riders aged below 30 may have their entry class moved up to the next suitable entry class to reach a sufficient number of entries to constitute a class. Riders aged over 34 may have their entry class moved down to the next suitable entry class to reach a sufficient number of entries to constitute a class.
Determination of Age: “YEAR OF BIRTH”
Cost: $30 ‘Series Entry’ or $10 per individual round
Transponder hire (select during online website event entry) $3 per round
Entry: ‘Series Entry’ online via Southern City BMX Website Entries close 12th January 2022, 11:59pm
Entries for individual rounds can be made on the day at event registration, however these entries will not be eligible for a Series Award. To be eligible for a Series Award you must register by a ‘Series Entry’ (entering all 3 rounds individually does not constitute a series entry and you will not receive the Series Participation Award).
Format:
Mini Wheelers and Sprockets 5 motos.
2.03.03 (a) Classes of 1 full gate or less: 5 Motos. Places awarded on total accumulated points
2.03.02 (c) Classes of more than 1 full gate: Total points - no Qualifiers or Finals. Each competitor rides the same number of motos. 2.03.05 shall be used to break any ties.
Racing conducted under AusCycling Technical Regulations: BMX 2021 2.03.02(b), 2.03.03(a)
Awards: Series Participation Awards will be presented to all Mini Wheelers, Sprockets, Challenge and Cruiser classes who enter via the online “Series Entry” option ONLY (entering all 3 rounds individually does not constitute a series entry and you will not receive the Series Participation Award).
Trophies awarded to challenge class 1st place Series winners.
Scoring: Timing and scoring will be done using Sqorz software and online timing information on the day will be available at – https://our.sqorz.com/org/scbmxc
Details: This is a transponder run event - All riders (excluding Mini Wheelers and Sprockets) must have a transponder in order to register and to be scored. It is the sole responsibility of the rider/parent to ensure the transponder is correctly affixed to their bike and is operational which includes current Mylaps subscription and sufficient battery level. In the event of a malfunction of the timing system or malfunction or loss of transponder, for any reason, the rider’s finishing position will be determined by the officials. Any rider coming off the gate without a transponder or with a non-working transponder will be scored as DNF and may be disqualified. If a rider timing start signal is detected, but not a finish signal, the Commissaire will use best endeavours to find the placing for that rider if this is not possible the rider will be scored last.
All riders are responsible to use equipment/clothing that complies with the AusCycling Technical Regulations: BMX 2021 for practice and racing. Number plates must be used during practice and racing.
The fact that any non-compliance was not noticed earlier in an event or a previous event shall not constitute a defence.
Racing conducted under AusCycling Technical Regulations: A protest may be filed by a rider through the Team Manager (Riders Advocate) with the Chief Commissaire for the scoring of a rider. Protests can only be made on the results from the scoring medium showing the order in which the riders crossed the finish line, not the decisions of the Commissaire panel that are noted in the results such as DNS (Did Not Start), DNF (Did Not Finish), REL (Relegated).
In all cases the decisions made by the Chief Commissaire are final and cannot be protested.
Time Schedule:
Registration 5:30 – 6:10pm - It’s the responsibility of the rider/parent/guardian to check all details are correct at registration. Any amendments need to be made before the registration period closes. Registration will close at 6:10pm.

All participants and spectators MUST register track attendance using the using the Check in Tas App. QR codes can be found at both entrances, registration and the canteen.
This event will be run under COVID-19 regulation set by the Australian Government as outlined within the AusCycling TAS BMX COVID-19 Safety management plan
